Hōjicha is a Japanese green tea. It is distinctive from other Japanese green teas because it is roasted in a porcelain pot over charcoal, whereas most Japanese teas are steamed. Roasting gives this green tea a nutty and smoky character. Contains less caffeine than other green teas and is a wonderful after dinner tea.

Steeping Suggestions
*1½ tsp. loose leaf tea or 1 tea sachet
*8 oz. steaming (180°) water
*steep for 1 minute

Iced Tea Recipe (8 servings)
¼ cup tea, 8 cups cold water, steep for 30-40 minutes in fridge, sweeten to taste. Keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days.
